Panel I_Joy.jpg

Joy obtained her doctoral degree in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry from Indiana University Bloomington in 2017. Her PhD thesis applied pharmacology and rodent animal models to investigate the involvement of PSD95-nNOS-NOS1AP protein-protein interactions downstream of NMDA receptor in chronic pain.

After her graduation, she joined a small startup company, Anagin, in Indianapolis, IN continuing her efforts in developing small molecule inhibitors targeting the same PSD95-nNOS-NOS1AP protein-protein interface for treating wide range of neurological diseases.

Joy recently joined Dicerna, an RNAi therapy company, focusing on developing animal disease model to identify potential therapeutic target for but not limited to rare genetic liver diseases.
